This award recognizes students who display exceptional leadership, dedicated service to the AMA, outstanding academic performance, and significant community involvement.
Nomination Process:
Faculty Advisors, Fellow AMA Chapter Leaders, or Marketing Professors must submit the following:
- One letter of recommendation (400-450 words) from the AMA chapter faculty advisor, an AMA Collegiate Chapter Officer, or a campus community leader (Marketing Professor, Dean, etc) who has directly benefited from the nominee’s service or actions.
- The letter should highlight the following:
- Describe the nominee’s demonstration of academic excellence beyond GPA
- Describe the nominee’s commitment to the field of marketing through their AMA Chapter involvement. (maximum half-page)
- Describe an experience related to the nominees’ AMA membership where they made a significant impact on-campus or in the wider community. Detail their leadership role, and their direct impact on others. (maximum one page)
- A current resume
Submission Guidelines:
Nominee submissions must be saved as PDFs with the following naming conventions:
- Nominee Name_Nomination Letter.PDF
- Nominee Name_Resume.PDF
Selection Criteria:
A selection committee comprising AMA collegiate members will evaluate applicants based on the following criteria and can award up to 30 Point during the judging process:
- Service to AMA (1 to 10 points): Demonstrated commitment to AMA with evidence of leadership and integrity.
- Impact (1 to 10 points): Overall positive effect of the nominee’s work as evidenced by the recommendation letters.
- Collegiate Excellence (1 to 10 points): Commitment to education beyond GPA as evidenced by their resume.
Award Announcement:
Winners will be announced at the AMA International Collegiate Conference. Presence at the conference is not required for eligibility.
