The Chapter Plan is designed to assist chapter leadership and members in developing their chapter goals and the strategies that will be used to achieve those goals. Remember that the Annual Report is judged according to the evaluation and achievement of objectives as stated in the Chapter Plan. A successful Chapter Plan clearly defines the chapter’s strengths and weaknesses and how the chapter plans to overcome and/or take advantage of these.
For inspiration in building your Chapter Plan, you can review the Chapter Plans and Annual Reports from this past year’s Top 25 Collegiate Chapters. Reviewing these can be helpful in understanding what makes a good chapter tick and gaining insights into what top chapters are doing (these are great resources for a new chapter). All Collegiate Chapters are required to submit a Chapter Plan and Annual Report to remain affiliated, regardless if your chapter is competing for a Top Chapters or Functional awards. If your chapter cannot submit a chapter plan due to circumstances with limited resources, you can submit a temporary report (this report will allow your chapter to remain in good standing. However, it will not be eligible to compete in the Top Chapters or Functional awards). To access the Chapter Plan/Annual Report Temporary Form, click here.
The Chapter Plan and Annual Report form the basis for the judging process for the Annual Recognition Awards Program (Top Chapters and Functional Awards) that are presented at the International Collegiate Conference (ICC), and the Chapter Plan must be submitted on time during the Fall Semester to qualify for an award. Note: During the submission, don’t forget to indicate if your chapter wants to participate and compete in the judging process for Top Chapters and Functional awards.
