The AMA recognizes that the pandemic has had a tremendous impact on students and higher education. To ensure that undergraduate students have access to valuable AMA resources during this crisis, the AMA Support Center is instituting a temporary price reduction on student membership.
Beginning August 20, 2020, the national AMA student membership dues rate will be reduced from $50 to $29 (+ chapter dues). Students will continue to have the option of joining a professional chapter at the special local student dues rate set by each chapter.
The end date for this temporary price reduction has not yet been set as the AMA Support Center plans to monitor the situation closely and provide advance notice to chapter leaders of any changes.
We wanted to let you know now about this upcoming change so your chapter can begin to prepare accordingly. The new student membership rate will be posted at www.ama.org/membership and communicated to student members and customers following its implementation on August 20.
If you or your members have any questions, please contact membersupport@ama.org.
