2023-2024 AMA Foundation Collegiate Scholarship Winners

We’re Passionate About Building the Future Generation of Marketing Leaders.

The AMA Foundation awards collegiate scholarships to student marketers who are making an impact on their campus and in the community. Here’s a look at the 2023-2024 winners of our Diversity Leadership Scholarships, Robert DeLay Social Impact Scholarships, EBSCO Student Scholars, Stryker Buonocristiano Scholarship, and Lee Epstein Scholarships.


Diversity Leadership Scholarship Winners

The AMA Foundation Diversity Leadership Scholarship is awarded to student leaders who serve others, inspire greatness and achieve remarkable things through empowerment and action. Students must be a member of one of the following underrepresented groups: American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.

Jovany Guillen Castillo

Montana State University, Bozeman

“As Vice President of Marketing for the AMA, Bozeman Chapter, and volunteering at Bienvenidos, a non-profit supporting immigrants in cultural assimilation to the US, I am deeply engaged in community involvement and global initiatives. Participating in events like Diversity Leadership Institute, Business Leadership KeyBank Symposium, American Institute of Graphic Arts Design Conference in NYC, and the Global Engagement Summit at the UN Building in NYC, I actively involve myself in discussions shaping global perspectives on pressing issues and aim to become the change needed for a diverse, inclusive future.”

“As a young Filipino woman, my goal is to enhance the presence of women in sports and promote greater visibility for Asian women. Being someone who doesn’t fit the stereotype of what a ‘typical sports fan’ looks like, I want to share how sports can reach other ‘non standard
audiences’ and bring to light a new generation mindset of sports fans and future business owners on their way into the industry. AMA has equipped me with the skills and experience to be a great leader and allowed me to make a difference in my community.”

EBSCO Student Scholar Award Winners

The EBSCO Student Scholar Award presents tuition scholarships to exceptional marketing students involved in developing their marketing skills on and off campus, including demonstrating leadership within their AMA collegiate chapter.

“Throughout my time as the VP of Communications and Executive Vice President for the MSU AMA chapter, I have enjoyed working with my peers to motivate other students. I look forward to continuing to serve AMA during my senior year of college. I am thankful for the opportunities I have had to apply my marketing knowledge beyond the classroom. The skills I have obtained through my AMA experiences will be invaluable upon entering the workforce, and I am excited to apply the same dedication and leadership skills to my career and community.”

“In my role as Vice President and President-Elect of the Marian University AMA Chapter, I’ve been deeply committed to fostering growth, inclusivity and impactful initiatives within our chapter. Initiatives like promoting awareness and engagement with American Sign Language goals and leading a chapter food drive to combat food insecurity reflect my commitment to social responsibility. I am passionate about photography and graphic design and believe in the power of visual storytelling to convey messages and evoke emotions and often incorporates these skills into my marketing projects and campaigns.”

Robert Delay Social Impact Scholarship Winners

The Robert DeLay Social Impact Scholarship is awarded to student members who have made a positive impact in their local, regional or large community.

Kylin Rosnick

Chatham University

As a social marketer, I want people to care about those in poverty. Persuading people to care about a cause is one of the hardest but most rewarding forms of marketing. My time working for Work, a non-profit that works toward providing stable jobs to Haitian citizens has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college career, using my knowledge of business and political science to contribute. My goal is to elevate the issue of poverty in their minds and to care about it as I do.

Rachel Lee

University of Pennsylvania

“Marketing unarguably plays one of the most important roles in consumer behavior and their subsequent purchasing decisions. With advertisements becoming a constant part of daily life, it’s important to harness the power of marketing to make positive societal contributions. Witnessing the unexpected reach of my own passion project through effective marketing strategies has motivated me to delve even deeper into exploring how marketing can not only be a tool for promoting a brand and generating revenue but also a source for promoting diverse initiatives related to societal challenges.”


Stryker Buoncristiano Scholarship Winner

The Stryker Buonocristiano Scholarship aims to support talented undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and with broad skill sets who have a common desire to pursue a career in marketing.

“My passion lies in marketing, particularly in product management within the tech industry. Post-graduation, I aspire to become a Product Marketing Manager or Product Manager, steering strategic development and successful product launches. I’m committed to reshaping outdated perceptions in marketing by infusing fresh viewpoints that genuinely connect with multidimensional customers. Thank you for granting me this scholarship; it aligns perfectly with my aspirations to contribute meaningfully to the marketing industry and promote diversity and inclusion.”


Lee Epstein Scholarship

The Lee Epstein Scholarship supports talented undergraduate students with a passion for marketing in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut.

John Tucci

Hofstra University

“Marketing isn’t just a job that I find interesting but a form of expression that I have found to be limitless. The thing that motivates me to continue being a marketing professional is finding new things no one has done before. Whether it’s some sort of geo-based marketing or a new type of email-based campaign, I want to evolve with the industry, and eventually help out others who I see are passionate. I am extremely grateful to AMA for the Lee Epstein Scholarship, as it will go a long long way.”

“In marketing, you have to be creative and think outside of the box in order to capture the attention of people. I have a passion for art, and in my career I hope to combine my artistic skills with my love of marketing.
