The 2020 Marketing Research Productivity Lists tracking top individual and institutional contributors to the premier journals are now available at ama.org. The Research Productivity Lists are collected annually by the AMA Doctoral Students SIG (DocSIG).
The University of Pennsylvania maintained its title as the top producing institution with the second spot going to Columbia University on both university lists. Duke University rounded out the top three on the overall Premier Marketing Journals list as did Tilburg on the Premier AMA Journals list.
V. Kumar, Relationship Marketing SIG chair, retained his top spot on both Author Productivity lists. AMA Academic Council member Dhruv Grewal is featured in the top ten on both lists, as is the 2021 Marketing and Public Policy Conference Co-Chair Katherine White. Marketing Research SIG leader P.K. Kannan is in the top ten of the Author Productivity in the Premier AMA Journals.
The AMA DocSIG independently manages the creation of the four lists including two author lists and two school lists using data collected and maintained at the University of Texas at Dallas:
- Author Productivity | Premier Journals
- Author Productivity | Premier AMA Journals
- University Productivity | Premier Journals
- University Productivity | Premier AMA Journals
The lists acknowledge the top individual and school contributors to the premier marketing journals and are a powerful resource for prospective doctoral students considering their application decisions as well as those doctoral students who are on the job market. The 2020 lists represent 10-years of publications from 2011 – 2020. View the archive at ama.org.
