Students Helping Students: Facebook Fundraising Competition

Students Helping Students: Facebook Fundraising Competition

The Cause

The American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) and the AMA Collegiate Chapters Council (CCC) invite all student marketers to participate in the annual Students Helping Students campaign by creating a Facebook fundraiser to help raise money to support a more diverse, inclusive marketing community. All gifts from fundraising efforts will go toward the AMA Diversity Student Leaders Fund, which supports the Diversity Leadership Scholarship and the Diversity Leadership Institute.

As the philanthropic arm of the AMA, the AMAF champions individual marketers who are making an impact in our profession and community. In 2018, the AMAF launched the Students Helping Students program in correlation to #GivingTuesday as an opportunity for collegiate members to give back to their community and help empower diverse student leaders.

The Challenge

Want to be known as a top student fundraiser at AMA?  Create and share your own Facebook fundraiser in support of the AMA Diversity Student Leaders Fund! This campaign aims to get members, non-members, alumni, faculty, staff, and family to donate to AMA’s Students Helping Students program. The top three students who raise the most money from now until December 6, 2022, will be recognized as the winners!

Download the fundraising kit to get started on setting up your Facebook fundraiser. Remember to share your fundraiser with your network to help spread the word!

The Reward

On top of raising money to support the development of a more inclusive marketing community, the top three students that garner the most support through their Facebook fundraising efforts will receive special recognition at the 2023 AMA International Collegiate Conference
